Consent Culture Now! Rally at UGA Arch, Saturday, 2/6, 7pm

ConsentJoin us in standing up for a culture of consent! Athens for Everyone is proud to take part in organizing the Consent Culture Now! Rally, which will take place on Saturday, February 6th at 7pm in front of The Arch on The University of Georgia’s north campus.

We welcome and encourage everyone to come out and let their voices be heard. We will not stand for discrimination against women. We will not stand for sexual violence. We will not stand for attempts to intimidate and undermine survivors of sexual assault.

This is not just a women’s issue. We encourage men to show up and declare that they will stand up and be active participants in dismantling a culture of rape and misogyny. Our hope is that this event will show that though there are those who actively support and promote rape culture, there are so many more that are opposed and disgusted by it.

This demonstration is also meant to create a positive environment of support and love for survivors of sexual assault and give them a voice when they are not always able to speak for themselves.

When women’s rights are under attack, what do we do? Stand Up! Fight Back!
